There are several older mods that fix this issue and allow the player to continue after the main quest has finished, but all they do is let the player keep playing. It sucks in that there’s no real end-game for New Vegas as the game simply… ends. Now, this sucks for several reasons, not the least of which being that the expansion DLCs are geared for higher-level players while the main quest line isn’t quite built for someone armed with futuristic death rays from an expansion.
